Tarte Cosmetics foundation comparison; mini reviews series

Dear Diary,
I have been a massive fan of Tarte Cosmetics for a number of years now, and I think it's safe to say they are most famous for their award winning, world renowned shape tape concealer (in which one is sold every 7 seconds around the world; mad I know). However, another point to highlight is that they are also known for their good for you ingredients that are formulated in their products making them long wearing, hydrating and good for your skin including their foundation ranges. I have tried a few different ones over the years and each one offers different benefits, so I wanted to do a quick comparison post comparing some of their top selling foundations that I have personally tried and tested. If this sounds like something that you would be interested in, than sit back, relax and enjoy the wonder of Tarte Cosmetics.
Important to note: All of Tartes products are cruelty free and are formulated without parabens, mineral oils, phthalates, triclosan, sodium sulphate and gluten.
Love Becky. Xxx

Tarte Amazonian Clay 16-hour full coverage foundation (available in 46 shades) (£33 on Tarte.com): This was the first foundation that I ever tried as part of a todays special value on QVCUK. It has since been reformulated and dons new packaging but the overall product still provides 16 hour long wear coverage and is still infused with it's key ingredient of Amazonian clay. It's featherlight, mousse texture provides a soft satin matte finish with full coverage that erases the look of pores, fine lines and wrinkles and still achieving that airbrush finish. Powered by sustainably sourced, hand harvested Amazonian clay for smooth and hydrated skin that does not cake or crease and easy to blend. Imperfections and redness are also covered on the skin with added vitamin E acting as an anti-inflammatory emollient and anti-oxidant for your skin. This foundation is probably my first or second favourite face product ever produced from Tarte and I always find myself repurchasing again and again.
This Product is:
Suitable for all skin types
moisturising and hydrating
pore minimising
crease resistant
long wearing
mattifying
full coverage and buildable
non-creasy

Tarte Face Tape foundation (available in 50 shades) (£33 on Tarte.com): Inspired by the best selling shape tape concealer, it was inevitable a foundation had to come along to complete the family line. I have personally been wearing this foundation a lot more than others from their line the past 12+ months due to it's waterproof, transfer-proof and sweatproof technology which had been a life saver with all the mask wearing we've all been doing. This full coverage foundation will blur and cover the appearance of redness, age spots and blemishes (thank you hormones and maskne, lol), while also smoothing the appearance of any texture on your face. Providing 12 hours of coverage and a natural matte finish, this is one foundation your going to want to get in your collection if your after a natural, healthier and nourishing formula.
Skin invigorating ingredients in this foundation include:
Snow mushroom: helps to hydrate, reduce inflammation and brighten
Apple fruit extract: rich in anti-oxidants
Hyaluronic acid: delivers moisture, firmness and suppleness
This Product is:
suitable for all skin types but targeted more towards normal to dry skin
full coverage and buildable
long wearing
waterproof, transfer proof, and sweat proof
brightening
pore minimising
wrinkle minimising

Tarte Babassu Foundcealer Skincare foundation (available in 30 shades) (£33 on Tarte.com): Tarte's first ever vegan skincare foundation and all in 1, as it acts as your moisturiser, foundation and concealer. Providing 12 hours of hydration, this Foundcealer helps the skin appear plumper and give you a youthful glow. Delivering medium buildable coverage that is never cakey or drying you'll be left with a natural radiant finish that feels comfortable on the skin all day long. This product is suitable for all skin types but is targeted more towards dry/combination skin. The crease resistance formula ensure that it does not sit inside fine lines and wrinkles while smoothing their appearance. If your someone who is busy and on the go a lot and want to incorporate skincare into your make-up products, than this one is definitely for you.
Skin invigorating ingredients in this Foundcealer include:
Babassu: Helps to nourish, moisturise and smooth
Hyaluronic Acid: Retains moisture and hydrates
Sunflower Seed: Helps regenerate and condition
Vitamin E: Acts as an anti-inflammatory emollient and anti-oxidant
This Product is:
Targeted towards dry/combination skin
medium coverage that is buildable
moisturising/hydrating
brightening
crease resistant
lightweight and comfortable on the skin
non creasy
suitable for acne prone skin

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea water foundation (available in 25 shades) (£33 on Tarte.com): Powered by water, marine plants and vitamin E, this foundation provides powerful anti-oxidant protection and pollution defence. The water-based formula gives a natural lightweight finish but still packs a punch in terms of coverage. Due to it's naturally hydrating properties this foundation will feel light weight and calming on the skin and smooth out the appearance of any texture on the skin. Although this is one of their more lightweight foundations from their vegan line, it's still a great everyday face product to invest in and provides you with enough coverage to leave you feeling confident in your own skin. Plus, this would be a great one to have during the colder/winter months especially if you have dry skin like myself.
This product is:
suitable for normal/dry/combination skin
lightweight
medium buildable coverage
moisturising/hydrating
suitable for acne prone skin
long lasting/long wearing
mattifying
oil absorbing
